Born in Baakline, Saad grew up with his mother and grandparents at the center of his life. As an only child and a much-loved cousin, he remembers receiving plenty of attention. His grandparents were a strong presence, while watching his mother raise him on her own gave him a deep appreciation for her efforts.
Saad was always making crafts, styling relatives, or dancing. He was also interested in meditation and yoga from an early age, and paying attention to his thoughts and feelings remains important to him. A strong student determined to prove himself, he placed seventh in Lebanon in his examinations, although he did not enjoy his high school experience. He later studied graphic design at an institute in the Chouf, taking courses that included fashion design as he continued searching for an education that suited his creative interests.
Friends introduced Saad to CSB, and volunteering at a fashion show gave him a closer understanding of how garments, movement, and presentation work together. His interests in art, photography, and dance inform his approach to clothing, particularly its theatrical and emotional possibilities. Working through sketches, mood boards, and references from different disciplines, he gradually finds connections between them. At CSB, he hopes to develop the construction skills to put those ideas into practice, exchange perspectives with his classmates, and contribute to the work taking shape around him.
