Mohamad remembers a happy early childhood in the mountains of Barja in the Chouf. As he grew older, however, making friends and communicating became more difficult, and being picked on left him mentally exhausted. Over time, he began to place less weight on other people’s judgments and gain confidence in his own perspective.

He had sketched outfits since childhood, alongside interests in photography, styling, music, and cinema. He went on to study cinema and television at the Lebanese University for a year and a half, but left when he could not find the care and guidance he needed. During the gap year that followed, his understanding of himself and his relationships began to change.

Preparing his application for CSB encouraged Mohamad to work more actively on his ideas and brought him into greater contact with others. He became particularly interested in creative direction as a way to bring set design, styling, clothing, and film together within a single project.

Drawn to fiction and the possibility of stepping outside everyday reality, Mohamad finds something of that feeling in purple, his favorite color. His process often begins with an emotion or a psychological idea, which he explores through research into images, symbols, shapes, and silhouettes. He prefers developing collections, giving a concept room to deepen across several pieces. At CSB, he wants to learn how to construct the garments he pictures while continuing to explore clothing as a way to suggest a character, hold a feeling, or tell a story.
