Johny grew up with three sisters in the rural village of Debel in South Lebanon. Their Barbies caught his attention early, particularly the possibilities of dressing and styling them, and he drew constantly throughout school. From the age of eleven, he also worked alongside his family in the fields, taking on the demanding work of cultivating tobacco, olives, figs, and other crops.

In 2024, the war killed several members of his family and forced the rest to flee the south. Johny attended school in Rabieh, getting to know new people and adjusting to a different environment. He returned to Debel around Christmas and went on to complete his baccalaureate, but renewed fighting forced him to leave again, this time for Antelias, an eastern suburb of Beirut.

A volunteer at the displacement center where he was registered told him about CSB. His interest in fashion had been growing over the previous two years, and the possibility of studying it gave him something he was excited to work toward.

Johny is drawn to detail, precision, and clothing with the intensity of an artwork. He enjoys discovering how construction or styling can make something familiar feel unexpected. His own clothing changes with his mood, although purple remains a particular favorite. Beyond drawing, he enjoys gaming and loves cats. He has also always liked heights and the sense of freedom he finds in high places. As the youngest student in this intake, he comes to CSB eager to explore what he can make and develop the skills to give his ideas greater precision.
